EOC Week 7 - Final Project "The Pitch"

La Cubana Napolitana

I think it encourage to employees to provide an excellent experience to their customer, is a vision that makes you feel very welcoming which in reality they are very welcoming. Also Cold Stone Creamery's mission statement reinforce their brand making it a unique experience that will go from person to person either from word of mouth, social media and any other source. Their mission statement  comprehend all of what I want for my own business, because in my opinion is not about the traffic but, about the value I can create by providing excellence to my customers and a unique experience. La Cubana Napolitana won't be about the price but what is it worth, the different taste , the musical and festive environment, the exploration of new flavors in refreshments and soft drinks. In La Cubana Napolitana won't be different class but one, and that is 1st class for all.

The classic Cuban pizza.
While the folks from Rey Pizza in  thought the secret of the Cuban pizza was not going to be revealed to the world  by calming to be the owner of such of wonderful idea, the reality is that the secret goes back before the Revolution. With a nice medium thick dough, Vita-nova sauce and and great mix of Gouda, Mozzarella and age hard cheese like Parmesan or Fontina. We don't go far from the roots of the Italian Pizza but, flavor will totally make you into a Cuban Pizza addict.

Now La Cubana Napolitana will gather the beauty of an environment experience similar to the one during the 40's and 50's in the beaches of Varadero & Playas del Este. A small kiosk set up in a corner of the Las Vegas strip in Downtown Las Vegas, between Charleston and Main Street area will offer good food a relaxing spot to share with your family along with great live acoustic traditional Cuban music.

La Cubana Napolitana will be an easy translation for those who knows Italian, Spanish or have a knowledge of Latin. This name will ring all kinds of bells since the phonetic of the words includes Cubana Napolitana and will gather not only the Hispanic community looking for a new experience but will also gather the attention of the tourism that visit Las Vegas looking for new experience.

The kiosk will be built out of non flammables materials to put safety above everything, safe electric ovens, and the tables will be covered with fake non flammables palms leafs imitating the Guano house structure that people can admire in Cubans landscape.

The brand and identity of the place will be defended at all  cost by using fresh ventilated uniforms during the summer and nice covered jackets during the Winter. At all time these uniforms will represent our branding colors to ensure people don't forget of how wonderful their experience was with us. Our employees will remain inside the kiosk serving the public but they also will be handling food and checking out on our customers to make sure they are having a exceptional experience.

Our idea goes far and beyond.
The idea of having live music in a corner will gather people from all ages and will give it an exotic touch to the area where we will be located at. This beautiful dancing experience will stimulate the joy of everyone in that corner by making sure that we are the best part of the day of each one of all of our customers.

EOC Me X 3

Well in life tare several things that identify which type of buyer I am. Today it seems that I have to stick to only 3 of them and make sure that I'm accurate with my description.

Number 1 Guitar and guitar accessories.

Yes my first bachelor is as a guitar player. I have been playing piano and guitar for years and I will never get tired of it. My favorite type of body is PRS and Gibson Les Paul; however technically speaking I'm more between Jackson and Ibanez type of player. which one identify me the most? Ibanez. The reason is simple. I had classical training and somehow the way they build their instruments help your hands techniques. I dare to say that it is impossible to play with the wrong technique on an Ibanez. But guitar needs other accessories to be played with. For example: Amps, Picks, cable, Fx pedals etc. This are items that I don't buy everyday but when I do I stick to the brand because of the quality and value of them. Some of those brands are Boss, D' Addario, Electro Harmonix, Jim Dunlop, Peavey, Fender, Digitech, Monster cable, Shure, Vox and Korg.

Number 2 Art Supplies

This one in particular is more of a need to know that I have supplies in case I have to do something creative, the irony about it is that I don't invest a lot of time or material in creating fine art but I have to have it. I'm too crazy about the brands but quality does matter so in the list I have to include, Prisma colors and a Xacto knife. Both brand deliver what I need to have a professional quality work and result.

Number 3 Photography Items

This last one is a must and I'm hunting all the time for deals on camera lenses, and other accessories. Unfortunately the prices  of these items are on the roof, so I have to find a good mid end point. On that area I have been very impressed with Sigma items. Their lenses are very good, and they deliver a top quality result. Same with my camera. At them moment I'm using a Canon T3i and I love it, but I'm planning on sticking with it and upgrade to a 70D soon. They are amazing.

Week 5 EOC Social Networks and Job Hunting

Well, I personally don't find a lot of relevance, similarities or contradictions between companies hunting ambassadors to test and promote their product and the usage of Facebook as a social media tool to find a job. i believe is two different approach that not necessarily will lead up to a career in any particular industry. At the same time Facebook is becoming an All-In-One application that is allowing us not only to stay connected as individuals but to stay connected to a computer.  I also believe that their power to promote, attract and help other parties (whether they are individuals or companies) more than any other application. I strongly also believe that Facebook reliability as a job search engine carry way more risk than other sources like Monster and LinkedIn and by that I mean that it is easy to get connected with fake post, predators and people that are not even professionals. so why is it so big on this area? Easy. Everyone is in Facebook so as I big company I want to be where the traffic is and as a money saver strategy I rather using Facebook than someone that promotes him/herself as a super human in Monster or LinkedIn. On the other hand, I really don't see it being used to find brand ambassadors in the job searching area, but I believe that big companies and the consumers would benefit if Facebook would get to that.

When it comes to brand ambassadors I believe that other tools are being strongly used such as YouTube, Public figures profiles and people interested in politics.  when it comes to live a brand most of the people promote it by showing it through pictures and comments in the social media, whether is Twitter, Pinterest and any other.

Week 3 EOC My Demographics

As much as I want to be individual and be separated from any social core or society. I am an different millennial with Generation X and Baby Boomer characteristics. Of course that this may not make sense for other but that is who I am. I was born in Cuba in 1982 during a period that the Soviet Union constantly collaborate with the dictatorship of Fidel Castro. Unfortunately the reason why most people my age share this characteristics is because Fidel with his revolution locked the country and we became isolated and somehow obsolete. Cuba is highly influenced by different countries including: Spain, France, England, Germany and North America. The only problem is that our trends get stuck in time. For example, in United State everyday there's something new and by the time you buy it and you get home it is already upgraded, discontinued or there's something better already in the market while in Cuba the people who liked the Beatles back in the 60's still listen to them are big fan and will deny anything after that.

Most of the people of my generation had  access to the beginning of the home game consoles Atari VCS (later 2600) and the first generation of every other console that came after these. However our main favorite activities were riding our bikes, regular outdoors children games, and everything else that was not digital. By the age of 12 I had y first home keys. My parents were working from 8 to 5 pm so I had the option to walk home and prepare my own food until they would comeback. Because of the the trust from our parents we didn't have to be watched while playing, we knew what to do when a car was coming and when to come back home. Also our generation was very respectful of elders, didn't use to cuss much, and most of them would go to the University after high school, only those whose either had kids or were not intellectual oriented would've decide not to continue the studies. Other than that we would look for the growth and taking advantage of every single opportunity in the Medical, Design, Agricultural, Financial or Art fields.

Things that identify other like me

1)

You’re a Nirvana fan, but you weren’t old enough to go to a show (or your parents wouldn’t let you).

2)

You got your first email address in college…(either msn, hotmail or AOL)

Week 4 EOC

Thinking about a problem and solution for my own digital era and thinking about applying this in an application for either iPhone or Smartphones, I get to the conclusion that having one that would show me the lowest bid on ebay would be great.

Well, yeah, I'm a bidder even though I'm not implosive about it. The biggest problem I find is when I 'm interested in a particular product so I go ahead and find the best value on their site and after I purchase it, then they show me the same or similar item for less or with better quality for the same price. I'm it could be upsetting after you do your transaction and there's not much that can be done now.

So how to solve the problem? Easy, we would need an application that would allow us to know the lowest prices, the best offers or the lowest bids from the first hand. Also in this application should be able to enter all of the description of our devices and items we owned so we save time and they already know what to show us.

This dream application would save people's energy and hours of searching like idiots on this eCommerce site where hundred of marketers promote and sell their products. Now as everything has it's catch, then the basic application would allow people to enjoy this feature but, as a premium feature , it would be nice to have someone or something on their end that would negotiate for you. No headaches, no adrenaline rushes, just pure joy.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

Within my last research looking for companies that would give money to good cause I found out that people who understand money will make sure that the money gets multiplied and back to their hands.

In the complicated and intuitive business of growing money, the number one thing that you have to understand is not to be afraid of it. Money goes and money comes,  and if you want to grow it, you need to plant it first. Stock shares, Equipment, permits. Those are some of the things that people afraid the most when they start a business. They believe that money will go out and never comeback. Well, that only happens if you don't take care of business Sucessful businesses are not afraid of giving back to causes, they figure that once they reach the magic equation to grow their money, then they can invest in other people causes. The positive thing about this is that money doesn't stayed tanked in your bank getting dust but affecting others in a positive way

Of course most of this folks are highly successful and prospered and they build empire, but when it comes to Marketing; what are some of the tools to accomplish this status?

1) Pay the right price to receive a good result.

Invest in your marketing tools, and get your name out there. One big mistake that small business do is to have social media but not boost their ads so they can increase an audience, really? come on is the $ 25 that you would invest in a Johnnie Walker Red Label or that Pizza Hut that you bought once a week to make your employees over sized.

2) Graphic Design

These days anyone is a designer, even my 6 years old can use Photoshop, but that makes no one a designer. Business owners need to hire a professional designer (if can handle web and Prints then better) and make sure that the Corporate ID is effective. Is a Graphic Artist effective? Wait a minute, go to a local college and get a student that needs a portfolio piece and get the stuff done.

3) Know the secrect Math

Sucessful companies can grow millions of dollars but, they invest, they are not impulsive buyers, they use all marketing techniques to get where they are at.

Wal-Mart

cash donation: $301 million

Beneficiaries: Children’s Miracle Network, Feeding America, The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, the United Way of America, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

Bank of America
Cash Donation: $211 million
Beneficiaries: Habitat for Humanity International and various other organizations through its trademark Neighborhood Builders, Local Heroes, Student Leaders programs.

Exxon Mobil

City Group
cash donation: $146 million
Beneficiaries: Global charities including its own Financial Information Technology Education Program in China. The U.S.-based National Council of La Raza civil rights and advocacy group.

I hope that this lines can help some of those small businesses owners and folks who want to go solo into their industry. Keeping in mind that money is out there and is for you to recieve, invest and give.

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
